House Fire 02:45
sitting alone in this empty house most walls paper thin made of years of doubt how long will you wait for me to come around before you light a match and burn me to the ground set that old house on fire just to know if what we have will even last light a flame and let it burn, oh the things that we will learn if we set that old house on fire a dose of sun was the cure on tougher days funny how the weather effects life that way empty talk and cheaper things to say in trade for shallow friendships and a bloodless face
2.
Captured 03:26
i can see the light coming at me bright burning your image deep inside of my head where time can often fade, my memories invade with thoughts of you and me i could never forget everything i remember captured, oh i am captivated by your love i am captured, oh i am lost without you love can make you feel like nothing else is real steady as a drum beat and sure as life the taste of your lips, the warmth of your skin these feelings that will last until the day that i die everything i remember you can hold on to me like i hold to you we can just stay right here if you wanted to
3.
remember that night when we were so young words that you spoke hit like a loaded gun these old wooden walls came closing in this house that we built, can we build it again why can't i stop hurting you won't you give me a reason to show you the wounds time after time i regret what i said but you won't stop, you won't stop loving me yet hope comes in glimpses, the light breaks through this fog of commitment that i made to you the laugh of the children, the look in your eyes they break down these walls that i've built inside oh i'm tired and i am broken i've spent all i have left i can't seem to stop the hurting don't stop loving me yet don't stop loving me yet
4.
it's hit or miss up on that city wall are you asleep, or can you hear it all sometimes i try to ignore it all turn the noise down and just wait for you to call oh i wanna leave it all behind chasing after roads with no headlights i just wanna leave it all behind underneath that pale blue moon light oh i'm gonna leave it all behind feeling like nothing else matters oh i wanna leave it all behind however long until we meet again my beating heart, ole colorado friend so keep on smiling like you always do when those dark clouds roll and that sky turns blue take yourself away from nothingness a million miles away from emptiness oh i'm running hard to make it back to you
5.
White Flag 03:31
change, first you have to make me want to take everything i have until i've got nothing left to loose wait, i will wait a thousand years you're gonna have to melt away my fears i walk away from you and everything falls apart i walk away from you and everything shatters in my heart drained, down the days and nights one more step i'd be more than finished in the chambers of my mind strange, i don't really wanna fight round and round i fear that maybe i will give up tonight i saw you live and die for me and i ran as far as the eye could see in hopes of finding peace of mind from this grace misunderstood with no where left to run or hide no ocean deep or valley wide no escape or finding peace of mind, til i make my peace with you i give up
6.
Gravity 04:18
try to steady a shaking hand, try to fix this just as fast as you can when some things are just meant to be broke and all the pieces of who i am lie there shattered in broken plans life has it's reasons but this one don't so give me gravity, give me gravity give me something to hold on to, let me hold to you step off the front porch into that summer breeze thinking that life without you would be the death of me, and i'm not ready to die so soon heard her favorite song on the radio, and the truth is that i miss you so i don't wanna ever loose try to steady a shaking hand, try to fix this just as fast as you can when some things are just meant to be broke and all the pieces of this broken heart, like a pair of lovers who have had to live apart life has it's reasons, but this one won't
7.
summer night, i took a little ride first train to leave for the county line i found you in that room of crowded pews unaware that night would change my life well i crossed that line and lingered on that hope for chance to conquer time and space and fight on through all the reasons in this world could never give me an excuse to ever miss this dance the day i saw you rain or shine, i'll drink my whiskey fine but i sobered up and found my new cut smile taller still, with looks that could nearly kill every man here wishing that the coward in him would die summer night, took a chance on a ride first train to leave for the county line i found you in that crowded old saloon ramblin on the march of time that night would change my life
8.
Home 04:11
i left in what feels like a thousand years ago exploring all desire in the stones that i could throw hurling them one after another, just hoping one would land but everyone an empty promise leaving nothing in my hand when over the flight of noisy sounds comes a voice that i can recognize it's time my son, you've run too long, won't you come and rest again tonight you are home, you are home selfishness is my best trait yet the lies i believed i now regret only the best for me with no thought for someone else this life is death with no one but myself when over the flight of noisy sounds comes a voice that i can recognize it's time my son, you've had your run, won't you come and rest again tonight you are home, you are home i'm tired of running scared, so alone and so displaced is there anybody there to bring me home safe
9.
i am watching, but from the outside headed down this road with just one headlight the constant battle, the war inside of my head begin to shift the blame or admit that i'm misled you should know how good it feels to be sure i'm not alone you should know how good it feels to know i'm where i belong all the strongest winds, they all came to blow and with just a touch, they will chill our bones if i can't come back will you run for help we weren't made for this, to survive by ourselves
10.
always striving and wanting this to be something special, not make believe constant speaking of what is real to me i feel i'm being pulled from beneath but when my day comes and all i have is gone when i see your face, shining brighter than the dawn may i look to you and be found in who you are when my day comes never content for what gets you by or for a life of laying down the fight so go ahead and hold back the time touch that yesterday before you die
